A message from the principal
You are invited to learn more about our academic work as well as our STEM programming next Wednesday, September 14, 5:00-7:00 PM. All families are welcome. There will be food, and STEM activities for the kids to enjoy. Teachers will also be available to share specifics about our reading, math and character education goals.
In September, our staff and students are focusing on Respect as our Purposeful People Character trait. We will be learning, practicing and demonstrating skills together as we learn more about each other and our year this year. Each month we will have a new focus trait and with that new skills and strategies. Watch for the parent letters to come home each month.
We look forward to working with you and your students to make this the best year yet!
School highlights
Welcome back! Here are a couple reminders when picking up you child(ren):
- Please make sure to bring your drivers license, state ID, or passport. We will ask to scar it ( or take a look at your passport) before we send your child out to you.
- If someone else is picking up your child or having lunch with your child, please give the office a call, so we know you have approved it.
- If your child is leaving early, please make sure to sign them out by 3:40 p.m. After that time we can send your child to the gym for pick up.
Thank you for your corporation in keeping all our students safe!
Media center news
Students were very excited to see the newly renovated library. The comfortable places to sit have been a favorite so far, along with the new lower bookcases that make finding a book easier for our younger students. A variety of new books are ready to head home with readers starting next week. Mrs. Lanz will send weekly reminders with the schedule for library days and books that are checked out. Visit Seesaw for student's library connections throughout the year. We hope everyone stops by to see the new library on Curriculum Night!
