PULSE 2016's Keynote Speaker - Patricia Moody
Patricia Moody, a vivacious red-head, is an inspiration to all who get to know her. She is known as the Happy Advocate and her dynamic, sparkling personality and upbeat approach to life equip her to be a great advocate for those with disabilities.
The beauty of sign language captured Patricia’s heart as a teenager and she became proficient as a teacher of American Sign Language after she graduated from high school. She is a speaker and singer for many national, state and local events, advocating for all persons with developmental disabilities. Patricia served on the Board of Directors of the ARC of Indian River County, and also on the Board of the National Down Syndrome Congress. She presently serves on the Self-Advocate Council for the National Down Syndrome Congress. This fall, Patricia launched into independent life as a freshman student at the University of Central Florida in their new Inclusion Education Services Program.
