If your child has not yet registered, please contact the school so we can assist you with class selections.

ABJ Student Registration Information
Well, it is March - so that means it is Registration Time! This week, all students will receiving a Registration Presentation in their classes that will go through course pathways, career investigations, and course selection options. Students will be coming home with their Registration Forms to go through with you.
Grade 9 students entering Grade 10, accompanied by a parent/guardian, will be required to book a 15 minute virtual Registration Appointment with someone from our Educational Leadership Team to complete your online course selections. This is because the transition to Grade 10 comes with more choice with respect to streaming, students start accruing credits and working towards their high school diploma, and are making course selections that can have post-secondary implications. As such, we feel a meeting provides the opportunity to engage in conversation that enables students choose the courses that are best suited for them and their individual needs. This registration day will take place on Saturday March 20th. Booking information and directions to come, so stay tuned! But mark your calendars!
Grade 10 and 11 students, you will be returning your completed registration sheets to your assigned teacher and the Counsellors will be coming into your classes to complete the online registration piece with you directly throughout the weeks of March 15th through 25th inclusive.
For all of our current students currently working online that are wishing to return to ABJ for the 2021-2022 School Year, we will be connecting with you directly through SILC, so you can expect to hear from us through them shortly to work through your registration.
If you have any questions regarding registration, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. St. Amand (courtney.stamand@eics.ab.ca) or Mrs. Glass (sarag@eics.ab.ca).

Lenten Reflection - Week Five
Father of light,
in you is found no shadow of change but only the fullness of life and limitless truth.
Open our heart to the voice of Your Word and free us from the original darkness that shadows our vision.
Restore our sight that we may look upon your Son who calls us to repentance and a change of heart, for he lives and reigns with you for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer for Easter Sunday
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,by Your radiant and magnificent resurrection, You broke the bonds of death and rose from the grave as a conqueror. You reconciled Heaven and earth. Our life had no hope of eternal happiness before You redeemed us. Your resurrection has washed away our sins, restored our innocence, and brought us joy. How inestimable is the tenderness of Your love!
Saint Gregory the Great
Christ is Risen: The world below lies desolate
Christ is Risen: The spirits of evil are fallen
Christ is Risen: The angels of God are rejoicing
Christ is Risen: The tombs of the dead are empty
Christ is Risen indeed from the dead, the first of the sleepers, Glory and power are his forever and ever.

Parents: Understanding Teaching and Assessment in These Times
While our children (and their teachers) are riding the rollercoaster of the current educational landscape, there’s one step parents can take to help the whole system thrive...and that is to quickly and easily unlock the tools and strategies that systems and teachers use to improve learning and achievement. Why? Then parents can transform their home into an optimal learning environment for their child(ren). For example… So, if you are a parent, yourself, or know a parent(s) who wants to be more fully engaged in their child’s learning, this short course specifically created for parents provides the practical tools needed to answer all of the above questions (and many more). We’ve taken our 28 years of ‘in-the-trenches’ experience and shared ideas that will help parents in these times.
Guarantee: In fact, I’m so confident in the impact of this short course that, if you engage in it and DON’T feel that it’s a great investment in your child’s education this year, I’ll give you your money back.
My belief is that if we all take ownership for the success of our learners, speak the same language, and harness the power of the simple tools in this course, the quality of education we deliver will be better than it’s ever been before.
Best, Anne Anne Davies, Ph.D. Founder

April 4 Gospel Reading Jn 12: 20: 1-9
Gospel Reading: Jn 20:1–9
On the first day of the week,
Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning,
while it was still dark,
and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
So she ran and went to Simon Peter
and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them,
“They have taken the Lord from the tomb,
and we don’t know where they put him.”
So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.
They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter
and arrived at the tomb first;
he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.
When Simon Peter arrived after him,
he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,
and the cloth that had covered his head,
not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.
Then the other disciple also went in,
the one who had arrived at the tomb first,
and he saw and believed.
For they did not yet understand the Scripture
that he had to rise from the dead.
