Mission & Vision
The VISION of Chapel Hill Middle School is to promote teacher empowerment, involve parents and the community in the school's success and equip students with the academic instruction, social and emotional development and character education necessary for their future endeavors.
Parents, we appreciate your feedback during our Title I Stakeholders Meetings. Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated and will be implemented. As a reminder, all students are expected to report to school on time (8:15 AM) and be dressed in school uniforms.

Progress Reports will be available on Monday, September 15, 2022 on Infinite Campus portal. Parents, you will need to download the Infinite Campus Parent Portal application to receive real-time grade and attendance notifications (Click here for instructions on creating your Parent Portal account). If you have any questions regarding setting up your parent portal, please visit https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/infinite-campus/. Students can access their Infinite Campus account through the Clever application.
Parent Teacher Conferences
We will have our Parent Teacher Conference Night face-to-face on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. Please visit our school website to sign-up for conferences.
Dress Down Friday/ Concessions
Parents, we will have our first Dress Down Day on Friday, September 16, 2022. Students will be able to dress down for a $2.00 (Cash Only) donation. No ripped/ distressed jeans or inappropriate clothing is allowed. Concessions will also be sold after school. Proceeds from Dress Down Friday and Concessions will go towards student/PBIS and school activities.
Homecoming 2022 will take place from September 26 through October 1, 2022. CHMS Student Government Association will sell homecoming shirts for $15.00 from September 13 through September 19, 2022. If your scholar is interested in purchasing a shirt, orders will be taken during ELT with payment (cash only).
As part of our homecoming celebration, we will host a school dance on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Volunteers are needed for this event. If you are interested in volunteering, please click here to sign up.
Lastly, if your scholar is interested in running for homecoming court, there will be a brief interest meeting on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:15 pm-4:45 pm.
Parents, lost or stolen devices are the sole responsibility of the student and parent/guardian. The school will not provide replacement or loaner devices for lost or stolen Chromebooks or chargers.
All damaged or lost devices can be addressed through the Chromebook Insurance provider offered by the District. Please click here if you are interested in purchasing insurance. Insurance can be purchased until December 15, 2022, and will cover the duration of the 2022-2023 school year. After the deadline for insurance purchasing expires, if you have NOT purchased insurance, parents and students will be responsible for the full cost of repairs and replacements for damaged and lost devices.

School Hours and Attendance
As we begin our school year, we must remember that daily attendance will be an integral part of your child's success at CHMS.
Upon returning to school, Middle School hours are from 8:50am-3:50pm. We ask parents to not drop off their child prior 8:15 am due to no supervision. It is the parents responsibility for supervision prior to 8:15 am. Students who are not eating breakfast will need to enter the building near the car rider area. Students who are eating breakfast will enter the building near the baseball field. All students should be at school no later than 8:45 am to ensure that they get to class on time. Students arriving after 8:50 am will need to report to the front office to receive a tardy pass with their parent.

•No spandex or tight-fitting attire
•Shorts/Skorts/Skirts must be an appropriate length
Scholars must wear a collar uniform shirt under their jackets or hoodies.
