SHH Club Returns to Honduras

On July 1st, LHS Spanish teacher Alyssa Katz and 15 student members of the LHS Students Helping Honduras (SHH) club arrived in the village of Esfuerzo de Jesus to paint and inaugurate the Jorge Fidel Duron Middle School.

The LHS chapter of SHH raised $25,000 in 2016 to completely fund the school, and 9 LHS students broke ground in July 2016. The school is being painted red and white in honor of Lawrence, and will display a plaque thanking LHS and all of those who were a part of the fundraising efforts.

Follow their adventure this summer with Ms. Katz's blog at akatzspanish.wordpress.com!
