Uvalde CISD Benefits Enrollment Schedule 2019
Open Enrollment for Optional Benefits will begin on September 30, 2019, at Uvalde High School and end on October 10, 2019, at Central Office. The deadline to make changes to your benefits is October 11, 2019.
You are also able to self-enroll online, beginning on September 30 by following this link: https://benefits.ffga.com/uvaldeisd
Please see the below enrollment schedule and linked Benefits Guide which includes information on all benefits and instructions on how to enroll online if you are not able to see the First Financial representative at your campus.
All employees must either visit with the representative or go online to make your selections. If you are absent on your campus day and want to enroll in person, you may visit the representative at any other location.

Uvalde CISD Police Department is proud to announce the 2019 Bullying-Prevention Poster Contest
Contest Eligibility:
Uvalde CISD K-12th Grade Students
What kind of art is eligible?
The poster is to be no larger than a 22” x 28” Poster Board and no Smaller than 9’’ x 12’’ sheet of construction paper (any color). Artists may use any colorful medium that includes markers, paint, pastels, pencils, colored pencils, and crayons. Digital art, photography, sculpture and three-dimensional art will not be accepted. Please do not frame Artwork. Artwork that is framed will be disqualified.
Criteria for Judging:
Categories for judging are as follows:
Pre K – Kinder, 1st -2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th, Freshman-Senior
Entries will be judged on:
1) Originality
2) Artistic composition
3) Message
Each Uvalde CISD campus will select three artists to represent the school and will submit them to the administration building for judging.
Deadline:
The classroom teacher must receive all entries by October 21, 2019.
Winners:
The overall winners will be announced on October 25th during Red Ribbon Week on the Uvalde CISD Police Facebook Page.
DIG PINK INFORMATION
Uvalde CISD Staff who purchase a 2019 Dig Pink T-shirt will be allowed to wear the Dig Pink T-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes on Monday, October 21, 2019.
The order deadline has passed.

Uvalde CISD Athletic Passes
District employees have been issued a 2019-2020 Athletic Pass to attend athletic events hosted in the district. Please know the Athletic Pass is a courtesy only meant for the district employee. When using the Athletic Pass please follow these guidelines:
a. Wait in line to enter events.
b. Show District Athletic Pass with employee name to gate volunteer.
c. Do not share your District Athletic Pass with other individuals.
District Athletic Passes not belonging to the name on the pass will be confiscated at the event. In addition, a district badge does not grant you free access to an athletic event. If you do not have your Athletic Pass, please be prepared to purchase a ticket.
Your understanding and cooperation are very much appreciated.
Urgent Care Center
Great News! The Urgent Care Center of Uvalde Texas is now reopened and will accept our Aetna TRS Insurance. They are a part of Alsace Urgent Care in Castroville. They are located at 3040 E Main Street and their number is 830-900-7048.
The Uvalde Athletic Department is excited to release the official App for Uvalde Sports. The App will contain valuable information such as schedules, news, push notifications for any changes, allows you to follow every team from JH to HS, directions to the athletic event, news, and much more. The official App of Uvalde Sports is available for download!
2019-2020 Volunteer Trainings
In preparation of the 2019-2020 School Year, Volunteer Training dates have been set. Volunteer Training must be renewed every school year. Volunteers are a valued asset to our district. Individuals wishing to volunteer on campuses and with student organizations must attend a Volunteer Training and complete a background check. The following Volunteer Trainings have been scheduled:
Wednesday, October 2nd @ 12 p.m.
Wednesday, October 9th @ 6 p.m.
Tuesday, October 22nd @ 12 p.m.
Monday, October 28th @ 6 p.m.
Volunteer Training takes place in the Uvalde CISD Central Office Conference Room located at 1000 N. Getty.
