Updated Info regarding meal ordering and pick-up
In order to make pick-up locations as convenient as possible, open enrolled students will be able to pick up lunches in their resident district or the district they attend. If you decide to utilize this option, please place your meal order through the district offering your preferred pick-up location.
To order from MHLT, email us at mealorder@mhlt.org by 9:00 am to order meals for the following day. Meals are available Monday- Friday at this point in time. More details can be found in our original memo below. Menu option details are also posted below.

Minocqua J1 School Districts locations for meal delivery will be:
MHLT School- pick up at main entrance area from 11:00-12:30
Hwy 70 W Baseball Complex- distributed from school bus from 11:00-12:30
Lake Tomahawk Community Center- distributed from school bus from 11:00-12:30

Beginning on Thursday, March 19, 2020 the Minocqua J1 School District and A’viands Food Service will partner to provide Breakfast and Lunch to district families by request. These meals will be provided at no cost to any family, regardless of your student(s) meal payment status during the regular school year. In other words, even if you normally pay full price you are eligible to receive free meals during this period of school closure mandated as a result of COVID-19. Children in the home but not attending Minocqua J1 are also eligible to receive these meals.
As you well know, this is a rapidly changing situation and elements of this food distribution plan will change accordingly if need be.
Our current plan is to take requests from families who would like to receive daily meals and deliver those meals to regional sites where they can be picked up and taken home. The 3 sites will be located at Minocqua J1 School, Hwy 70 W Basball Complex and the Lake Tomahawk Raymond F. Sloan Community Center. Only the amount of meals requested will be prepared, so please plan to pre-order meals 1 day in advance. At this time we plan to have distribution areas set up outdoors to avoid unnecessary entrance to any buildings.
In order to prepare for Thursday’s meal distribution we will need to receive your meal request by 9:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Requests should be sent to: mealorder@mhlt.org. Do not call and leave messages in our office requesting meals as we do not have remote access to process these requests. Emailing the above address by 9:00 am on the day prior to meal delivery will be the only way to request a meal.
Your email should include:
*Name of person picking up the meals
*Amount of meals requested
*Pick-up location (Minocqua J1, Hwy 70 W Baseball Complex, or Lake Tom Community Center)
*Any food allergies
We will reply to email orders to confirm that they have been received.
