Canvas Edition
Hello, my awesome students and parents!
As I'm sure you've probably heard by now, Prince William County Public Schools has recently purchased a program called Canvas for us to use during this Distance Learning period and for the years to come. Canvas is a tool that many colleges use for online learning resources, so it is pretty cool that we are able to use this program as well. I know that many of you are nervous about switching to a new platform, especially while at home, but I promise that Canvas is EASY to use.
We will be using Canvas for all assignments for the remainder of the school year. Assignments will still be posted on Monday mornings and will be due on Fridays. Assignments are still ungraded for the remainder of the year, but are designed to help reinforce crucial skills. The only thing that's changed is where to go to access the assignments.
I've created a bunch of tutorial videos for both students and parents, showing you how to find Canvas and where to go to find your assignments once you get in. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out. My email address is jonesco@pwcs.edu
