A Few Parking Lot Reminders...
A few more reminders:
- The Upper Parking lot is for Staff and Buses only. Please do not park in the upper parking lot. It impedes the buses ability to load, unload, and exit the school.
- Please DO NOT exit your car in the Carpool Lane. If you would like to park and help your child out of the car, please use one of the parking spaces in the lower parking lot and then use the crosswalk.
- Please pull all the way forward in the carpool lane. It creates quite a back-up onto Silver Springs Drive when cars stop at the main entrance. There are at least 2-3 adults in the carpool lane each morning to ensure that your child gets into the building safely.
Thank you for helping us to make sure that student safety is our number 1 priority!!!

Table Talk Math - Ideas for having math conversations at home!
Taking a look at the four images below, which one of them does not belong in the group?
Here are some tips on using Which One Doesn't Belong at home:
- Give time to think about each rather than rushing through the thought process
- There is no such thing as a single correct answer
- Justification is key; encourage children to explain their reasoning
- If it seems like the prompt is "too easy", spice things up a bit by asking your child(ren) for two reasons why their image does not belong

Supporting the The 7 Habits at home!
7 Habits at Home Activity for November
This month’s Habit: Habit 1 Be Proactive
Activity: Circle of Control
Due Date: November 30th
Habit 1 – Be Proactive – “I’m in Charge of Me”
What this means: Take charge of your own life. Make it happen. Don't wait for someone else to do it.
“I am responsible for me.”
“I do the right thing before I am asked.”
“I do the right thing even when no one is looking.”
“I do not blame others for my actions.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. If you do something wrong, say you are sorry before someone asks you to apologize.
2. When you get mad and want to say something, stop, think, and ask yourself-
Why am I getting so angry? Make a good choice in a good way.
Great Books for Habit #1- Be Proactive
- The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds
- Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst
- Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo
- The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper
- Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman
- Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Maria Dismondy
