Southeast Neighbors Meeting

Focus: South Willamette Street Improvement Plan

The Eugene City Council will vote soon to select a preferred design alternative for South Willamette Street to best accommodate driving, biking, walking, and transit on South Willamette Street between 24th and 32nd Avenues.


At the March meeting, Southeast Neighbors will host a discussion about what these designs could mean for our community. Ron Tyree and Scott Landfield will speak for 10 minutes representing the views of “4 Lanes 4 Willamette” and Josh Newman will speak for 10 minutes representing the views of “Willamette: A Place for Everyone.”A Q& A session will follow, moderated by Christopher C. Henry, Transportation Planning Engineer from the City of Eugene.

Please come early at 6:30 PM for socializing and refreshments courtesy of neighborhood volunteers and donations from Pegasus Pizza and Metropol. We will be meeting in the Good Samaritan Meeting room. Park in the front parking lot or in the west side lot off Hilyard.

Southeast Neighbors Association

Southeast Eugene includes more than 13,000 residents in some 6,000 households, or roughly 8% of the city of Eugene. The neighborhood association is active and engaged in issues like neighborhood safety, livability, local politics, sustainability, building community, and outreach. We welcome everyone at our meetings. Carpooling options and child care may be available if requested at least 3 days prior to events.
