Note from the Principal

Hi GES Families- We are in full swing of parent conferences and second quarter. Thank you for making every effort to meet with your child's teacher because we are aiming for 100% involvement! Hopefully you had a fun and relaxing fall break! We enjoyed the Indiana Dunes for a few nights this year! Indiana has so much to offer!


Thank you for getting back to routines at home and getting everyone to bed at an early time. We appreciate your efforts. Sleep is critical for good school day! November is busy with the Veterans Day program for 3rd and 4th grade students, Spell Bowl Competition for our 4th Grade Spell Bowl Team, and our Fall Festival. Thank you for your continued support!

HONORING OUR VETERANS

We are collecting our favorite Veteran pictures to share on the First Grade American Flag display in the X! Print out this template, include a picture of a Veteran and send to school anytime! Your teacher will put it up on the flag and we will honor our Veterans. Thanks to all our Veterans!

WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE PLEASE

Water Bottles: Students are asked to bring a water bottle to school each day because the water fountains have been turned off. We have a water filling station that can be used to refill their bottles. Please remind your student to bring a water bottle to school.


We have been providing reusable bottles and single bottles to students who have forgotten theirs, but our supply has run out. We will provide paper cups for those students who have forgotten their bottles.


Attendance/Late Arrivals/Doctor Appointment: Please call the office or attendance line to let us know if your student will be arriving to school late, or if they will be out all day. 317-915-4260.

GES and the surrounding communities would like to assist families in need this winter.


Families may ask for help with groceries. Donations are accepted to provide food to GES families in need. Food will be distributed prior to each Holiday.

If You Are Having Trouble Loading the Safe Visitor Badge Barcode....

If You Are Having Trouble Loading the Safe Visitor Badge Barcode....

You may need to download the NEW mobile app. Safe Visitor has disabled their old App Store and Google Play apps. The new app must be installed using Safari (IOS) or Chrome (Android).


The app has a new look (pictured). Users will be asked to enter the visitor ID number when adding a badge/pass. The number is the 5 or 6 digit number under the photo on your existing badge.

Student Fees are now Past Due

Student fees are past due and could be subject to additional processing fees. If you have not paid your fees or made other arrangements please check your student's Skyward account. Look for the Fee Management tab to find the amount due (it is the total of all fees listed).


Fees may be paid by check or via eFunds. Visit here to go to the eFunds payment site.

New Apps for Safe Visitor Badges and School Dismissal Manager

Both the Safe Visitor and School Dismissal Manager mobile apps have been updated for the new school year. If you are having trouble accessing either one you may need to delete and reinstall the new apps. Please refer to the information below.

Recreational Basketball News:

  • Boys Basketball - Athletes in grades 2nd, 3rd and 6th will begin practicing this Saturday, October 30th. The 1st, 4th and 5th grade divisions will begin practice on November 6th. Please note the kindergarten division kicks off in January. More information here.
  • Girls Basketball - Athletes in kindergarten – 8th grade will take to the courts beginning Saturday, November 6th, for their first practices. We are excited to welcome a record number of female athletes. The league is finalizing team assignments and players should expect to hear from their coaches by early next week.

*Co-ed high school intramural basketball information will be released at the end of November.

Spring Program Registration:

Mark your calendars! Registration for spring baseball, softball, soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, rugby and track and field opens January 1st at myathletics.com. Season information including divisions and program fees will be updated on our site at the end of December. Need a refresher over our registration periods? Find them here.

HSE Report It!

Hamilton Southeastern School District takes the safety of its students and staff seriously and fostering safe and supportive learning environments is a top priority across all our school buildings. HSE works closely with school buildings, the Fishers Police Department and area law enforcement agencies to protect our students, teachers, school leaders, and staff and to prevent emergencies before they arise.


HSE Report It! is a school safety mobile reporting app that allows students, staff, and community members to provide anonymous information about concerns for their own safety or the safety of others. HSE Report it!, can be downloaded via Google Play or the Apple App Store. It’s anonymous and reports are made exclusively through the mobile app. HSE Report it! will has no length limitations or the need to remember a short code. Reporters can attach photos, screenshots, videos, documents and/or audio recordings to their concerns and they can engage in a two-way dialogue with a real person.
