Dear Families of Ruhkala Elementary School,
I am excited to report that our Ruhkala Staff had their first virtual staff meeting this morning. We are exited to continue preparing for the virtual return of your children next Wednesday, August 12th. Teachers have begun to build schedules, develop lessons, and make plans for a parent orientation and materials pickup. They will be sending out details and information regarding all of these areas.
Below you will see information on the Aeries parent portal, Chromebook pickup, and the distribution of last year's yearbook.
We will continue to send out information as it becomes available. Our school office will be open to the public from 8:00 to 10:00 each day. Please practice social distancing guidelines when entering. There is further direction posted on our office door.

AERIES DATA CONFIRMATION - CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
The data confirmation process for Rocklin Unified School District opened on August 3rd on the parent portal in Aeries. There was a problem with the system but it has been messaged to us that those issues have been resolved. Class lists will be posted on Friday, August 7th at 5 pm. You will be able to view your child’s teacher by logging in to the Aeries Parent Portal. Your child’s teacher will be visible once you have completed the data confirmation. You can access the Aeries Parent Portal at the following email address: https://parent.rocklinusd.org. If you have forgotten your password please click on the link that is provided on the Aeries screen and you will be guided through a process to recover it or create a new one.
Chromebook Distribution to Those in Need
We have been compiling a list of students who would like to request a loaner Chromebook to start the 20/21 school year. Please click on this link if you are interested in loaning a Chromebook for your child(ren). Please fill this form in by Thursday, August 6th.
We will be distributing Chromebooks to those of you who need one on Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00. Please drive into the front parking lot loop. We will be outside and ready to assist you. You must have your name on the linked form above in order to receive a Chromebook. We need this information ahead of time in order to organize the devices that are being sent off campus.
If you are a Ruhkala RVC student we are able to distribute a Chromebook to your student(s) if your name appears on our interest list.
Last Year's Yearbook Distribution
If you ordered last year's yearbook you are welcome to pick it up in the office from 8:00 to 10:00 Monday through Friday. If you did not order a yearbook but would like a copy you can purchase one during the same time for $20 per copy. Payment must be made in cash. We only have a limited amount left so it will be first come first serve.
