News from the Principal

Hello Sundling Families:

This will be my final newsletter as we close out the 2022/23 school year.

A final farewell and good luck to our graduating 8th graders as they move into summer, and begin the transition to high school. A restful and enjoyable summer for our 7th graders as they prepare to be the leaders of our school for the 2023/24 school year.

A special farewell and thank you to our Sundling retirees this year. Congratulations and all the best to 7th grade math teacher Lori Majewski, for her 15 years of service to our school, and to special education program assistant Dave Nunes, for his 23 years of service to District 15, including the past few years at Sundling. Both have touched the lives of many students over their long careers, and will be missed in the halls of our school!

For our returning families; please be sure to register for the 23/24 school year. Information and directions for completing registration through Infinite Campus are provided below.

I cannot thank you enough for your patience, flexibility and support over the past school year. I hope that your family stays well and is able to enjoy time together this summer, whatever that may look like. Our staff is grateful and appreciative for the continued support and partnership as we support our adolescent students with academics and social emotional learning. Your continued support, feedback, and communication was an essential component to meet the daily needs of our students. We continue to look for opportunities to grow and improve, and to be there for our students and families in any situation. Thanks for a great year!

Although we are heading into the summer months and the school may be closed, I will continue to be available by email. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can be reached at dietzj@ccsd15.net.

As always, thanks for your continued support of our school, students, and staff!

I hope that you have a wonderful summer.

All the Best! #sundlingstrong #stronger4ever

Take care and stay well.

Sincerely,

Jason Dietz

Principal

Google Take Out: Graduating 8th Grade Students

Did you know that you can save most material that you have created in your District 15 Google account? If you are interested, try Google Take Out! Google Take Out allows graduating 8th graders to save D15 work on a personal flash drive or home device.

Please note, Google Take Out is only enabled for 8th grade students who have graduated. Once school ends, current 8th graders will automatically be moved to a container in Google called "Graduates" where Takeout is enabled. They will remain there until the beginning of the next school year when their accounts will be disabled. Graduates have access all summer. Please use these Directions for Google Take out.

All medication left in school after Friday, June 2nd of this year will be destroyed.

Registration for the 2023-24 School Year - ACTION NEEDED!!

Students MUST register by August 1st or they will be disenrolled from CCSD15!!

Online student registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. Please visit our registration page to start this process.

Registration is the first step in getting ready for the upcoming school year. After you register your child online you need to:

  • Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid. Information regarding fee waivers for families that qualify is also found on this page of our website.
  • New families to the district, kindergarten students, families with a lease, and families that were flagged by our third-party residency verification system are required to provide proof of residency to complete the registration process. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.\

All returning students MUST be registered by August 1, 2023, or they will be disenrolled from CCSD15. Students who have not completed their registration requirements will not receive a classroom assignment. Families that do not complete the registration by July 31, 2023, should contact their school to re-enroll their child(ren).

All three steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year.
