Triangles and Quadrilaterals
Triangles always measure 180 degrees! The six types of triangles are- Isosceles,Scalene,Equilateral, Right,Acute, and Obtuse. How many degrees are in right, straight, acute, and obtuse angles you ask........ well in a right angle there are 90 degrees. Acute angles- less than 90 degrees. Obtuse angles- more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. Straight angles- 180 degrees.
Quadrilaterals always end up totaling 360 degrees! The five types you ask?.. well you know squares and rectangles have 4 sides and all angles are right, right well then you automatically know it is an Quadrilateral any 4 sided figure that has all angles total measure to 360 degrees. The other Quadrilaterals are- Rhombus',Trapezoids, and Parallelograms.
Measuring Missing Angles
On triangles you have you have to add the angles that you have and subtract the sum of the angles from 180 degrees. In quadrilaterals you have to add up the angles and subtract the sum from 360 degrees. Now you know how to find missing angles in quadrilaterals and triangles!!
