PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Parents,
Next week we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! Our Roosevelt PTO will be providing teachers a lunch on Wednesday and breakfast to everyone next Friday.
During this time of the school year, please take a moment to write a note or to send an email thanking your child’s teacher for their hard work and dedication. Each of us can remember the teacher that made a big difference in our lives. I encourage everyone to take a moment to send some kind words to a teacher this year or from a previous year that made a profound influence on your child. Our teachers treasure these notes of thanks; this gives us motivation to keep serving others.
Thanks for being such a dedicated and supportive school community. It is an honor to serve you and our teachers.
Have a wonderful day!
Dr. Dwyer

Video: Family discussion on creating a positive "digital footprint"
District 64's Instructional Technology Coaches have created an on-demand video that families can watch together to help start a conversation about digital citizenship. Geared toward families with students in grades 3-8, Putting Your Best Foot Forward: Creating a Positive Digital Footprint will help families talk about how our digital actions create a first -- and possibly lasting -- impression, and how we can foster a positive online culture for ourselves and those we interact with both near and far. A valuable resource for families, the podcast is available whenever it's convenient for YOU to watch! This podcast is part of our continuing Parent University series - check out our other offerings, too!
