TJ Families:
The teachers and all the staff will miss seeing our in-person students, but we will still be a part of your child's school day starting on Wednesday, it will just look a little different. Over the past few days, your teachers have been getting everything prepared for the adaptive pause. Material has been going home each day with your child so they will have everything they need to continue learning.
A few reminders about remote learning for ALL STUDENTS.
It is still a school day, we expect students to be on time for their learning activities and participate just like they would if they were in school.
Some helpful tips while students are learning remotely:
If possible find a dedicated space in your home for your child to learn. Help them find a spot with the least amount of distractions and in a place where they could write and organize their materials like a table or kitchen counter. Some virtual parents have reported to me how helpful it for their child to wear headphones while participating in virtual learning.
Also, please make sure you your child has all their supplies they need wherever they will be working in your home. You can also build in some breaks for your child and make sure you child gets outside for a few minutes each day.
Parent teacher conferences will take place next week Monday and Tuesday and will be virtual. You should have already received information on how to sign up for a conference directly from your child's teacher. If you have not, please email your child's teacher.
This Friday (11/20), Infinite Campus will be opened up so you can see your child's grades, their effort, and any teacher comments. This might help you generate questions to bring up during your conference next week with your child's teacher.
Finally, on behalf of the entire TJ staff, I want to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. It may not feel the same as it has been in year's past, but I'm sure we can all still find things to be thankful for during this time.
Please remember, no matter where your child is learning, they are still a part of the awesome TJ Community.

TJ...a Small School with Gigantic Hearts!
I brought over all the supplies for our Veterans last week and the people who helped me unload could not believe how much we collected. I explained that they don't know the TJ community and this is just another example of the generosity of everyone associated with TJ.
You continue to model the importance of giving to your children. Even with all that is going on in the world and our area, the TJ Community has come through again! Thank you for everything you do to make TJ a wonderful place.
Virtual Student Supply Pick Up
This is for families that are currently learning remotely or their child was absent today and could not bring the rest of their supplies home with them.
This is not for students who were in the school building today They should have brought everything they need home with them when they left school today.
Similar to past supply pickups, we will have staff bring your child's supplies to your car. Please pull up to the front of the school and let the staff know your child's name and grade and we will give you what your child needs.
