SLCHS NEWS:
PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF COLDS AND FLU
Parents and students are asked to help prevent the spread of highly contagious cold and flu germs here at school. The flu is typically spread through air or direct contact from one person to the next. To prevent the spread of cold and flu, please:
- Blow your nose in a tissue and place in the trash can
- Sneeze in your sleeve and not your hands
- Wash hands often for at least 20 seconds
- Clean and disinfect surfaces that may be contaminated
- When ill, students may return to school after they are fever free for a minimum of 24 hours
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention offers key facts about the flu along with prevention and treatment information. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/keyfacts.htm

CATHEDRAL RENOVATION UPDATE
WEEK 4
Construction and renovations continue at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Check out photos of this week's progress on the ICCS Facebook page. This past weekend, an open house was held after the 4:00 PM Saturday Mass and the 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM Sunday Masses. The crowd was awestruck by the massive scaffolding in the church. One parishioner exclaimed, "It's like a city in here!" Buzzy Ribbeck answered questions from curious parishioners. Stephen Frei showed how the stained glass windows are restored. Everyone was excited to see the progress. We plan to have the open house every so often. For those who missed it, watch out for the next one!
