URCEO Family Newsletter
☘️ March 15, 2021 ☘️
Dear URCEO Families,
It's Conference Week followed by Spring Break! We are committed to 100% family participation with conferences so if you haven't scheduled your conference yet, know that our teachers will be reaching out to ensure you have a time to meet and discuss your child's progress and needs.
There is a lot of information that our teachers must share during these brief meetings, so we have put together a SPECIAL EDITION Conference Newsletter for our families. Thank you for taking the time to complete the requested surveys and "sign" our Title I Compact!
In our April 1st newsletter, we will share details on the district's goal to focus on in-person instruction at the K-8 neighborhood schools for the last quarter of the school year. For some EPSD9 families that means they will need to transfer to URCEO, so we are preparing for another growth spurt. I would greatly appreciate hearing from our families tips that you found helpful or would have appreciated in your transition to URCEO Virtual. How can we best support our new families?
The transition April 9-12th is also an opportunity for our families to return to the traditional school if that is your preference. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to reach out via email or phone.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Green

Invitation for 9th & 10th Grade URCEO Girls
A circle is a place for youth to listen to others speak about things going on in their lives. Participants learn about confidentiality and how this contributes to making the circle a safe place for this kind of sharing. The circle is a place where the skills of listening, witnessing, sharing and supporting each other are modeled and taught.
We will be sending information to parents/guardians of our 9th and 10th grade girls. If you chose to participate, the Circle will be held on Tuesday afternoons, in-person at URCEO.
We are starting with this specific sub-group based on input from our families. If you are interested in having a similar opportunity for your child, please let Mrs. Green know.
GED PROGRAM
👏 Justin Beck 👏 Nik Baker 👏 Samantha Dietrich 👏
These three are also taking advantage of in-person prep time at URCEO. We encourage all our GED students to do the same. Details in the GED Spring Newsletter.
We have put together a special GED Newsletter for the spring term. If your student is part of the GED program, please check it out.
