Instructional Focus and Procedures Resetting Starting on Thursday Morning
1 to 1 Chromebook Redistribution Contract Forms
Thursday, all scholars will receive a permission slip / contract to have 1 to 1 access to their CMS Chromebooks. This means that scholars will be assigned a Chromebook that they are responsible for for the remainder of the school year. Scholars will be allowed to take their Chromebooks home each day and will be expected to bring their Chromebooks to school each day, ready to be utilized as an essential instructional support tool. Homeroom teachers, please make sure to check you mailboxes on Thursday morning for the scholar permission forms. If you have any questions about the 1 to 1 Chromebook distribution or if you do not receive a permission slip / contract please contact our Media Specialist, Ms. Harmon.
No Clubs on Friday, January 4
We will not have our weekly club session on Friday, January 4th. Clubs will resume on Friday, January 11th.
School Leadership Team Meeting on Monday, January 7
We will have our January School Leadership Team meeting on Monday, January 7th a 5:00 pm in our school media center. Please join our teachers, staff and parents as we discuss our progress towards our school improvement goals and ways that we can support our Sedgefield campus. Refreshments will be served.
Early Release Professional Development Training on Wednesday, January 9
SMS Weekly Sports Update 01/02-01/04
Our girls and boys basketball teams are off this week but resume their seasons next week with a home game versus Piedmont Middle on Monday and an away game versus Wilson Middle on Thursday. The boy’s games begin at 5:00pm and the girl’s games begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the boy’s games. Please come out and support our scholar athletes as they demonstrate sportsmanship and athletic excellence on the court next week.
