~Unit 12 Objectives
Students will:
- read to a minimum guided reading level of B with 90% accuracy by the end of the 3rd six weeks.
- identify a section as realistic or fantasy and explain why using textual evidence.
- use comparative language to compare numerals from 1 to 10; and
- develop the concept of zero and represent numbers from 0 to 10 with numerals.
- create a product that provides examples of how the use of their senses experience light, heat, and sound energy with at least 85% accuracy.
- understand that holidays are celebrations of special events;
- explain the reasons for celebrating Veteran’s day.
Math
Unit Question: Does the student understand the meaning of zero, and what which has more/less?
Science
-Light - The type of energy that the eye can see.
-Heat - Energy that makes things warm.
-Sound - Energy you hear
-Energy - What is needed to do work or cause change.
Unit Question: How can we use our senses to explore light, heat, and sound energy?
