Structure
- Peruvian families usually have three or more children.
- Families live with or near each other.
- Children live with their parents sometimes even after marriage.
Child/Parent Relationship
- Children have chores and responsiblities as do the parents.
- Grown children take care of the elderly family members.
- Some children takle on the same roles as the parent.
Gender Roles
- Father is always head of the family.
- A mothers main job is to look after the children.
- The father is only consulted for major household issues.
