Growing, learning, and having fun!

Beatification of Eastview

Don't forget that Friday afternoon, depending upon the weather, our class will be helping clean up the Eastview grounds and then planting flowers out front. Students may bring gloves that day, if they choose. Everything that we are planting will come back each year. It is my hope that this activity helps students develop a sense of pride in our school and be able to feel like they contributed to improving our school.

Please continue to send your child's backpack. We have lots of stuff to go home! I will try to send home a little each day so they aren't loaded down the last day.

Updates on our Field Trips

Our walking field trip was a success! Many students were able to point out several good things about our community such as small businesses, churches, fire stations, and nursing homes. They also noticed things that our community could improve on like littering, poor sidewalks, and streets that need re-paved. I'm confident that they will continue to have these conversations next year at school.

Our other trip was cut a little short due to rain. We were able to explore and learn all about basketball at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Many of us were able to hit our last second shot! Due to the rain, we came back to school for lunch and a fun afternoon. Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to go with us!
