Bottle Drop
What: Over the holiday, save your bottles and cans (any that have a 10 cent redemption value noted on the label) and get ready to drop them off at school!
When: January 14th from 9 am - 12 pm
Why: Help us raise money for our 5th graders and West TV! Any funds collected beyond our 5th grade send off goal will go directly to West TV PTC.
COLLECTION EVENT
- Soon we will be hosting a Bottle Drop collection event in collaboration with the Green Team on Sunday, January 14 from 9 am - noon. They are collecting styrofoam and unwanted/broken holiday lights
Save all cans and bottles with the OR 10¢ symbol on it.
It would be a big help if you picked up a special blue bag associated with the school and brought your items in those bags. Empty blue bags will soon be available in the office.
If you want to fill a blue bag and drop it off on your own, please contact Jillian Wang: clothesforkids@wtvptc.org or text her at (503) 577-2305.
If you can’t get a blue bag in advance, don’t worry! We will gladly accept your items and put the items you drop off into the blue bags.
WANT TO HELP ALL YEAR LONG? All you have to do is:
PICK UP A BLUE BAG
Get a Blue Bag at a collection event, at school or directly from Jillian Wang, our Bottle Drop lead.
FILL BLUE BAGS
Fill blue bags with Oregon 10 cent deposit containers. Plastic, aluminum, and glass can go in the same bag. Fill it completely. Please keep bags under 20 lbs.
NOTE: Each bag costs us money, so it’s important that we distribute bags only to the families up for participating.
DEPOSIT YOUR BAG
Please deposit your blue bag(s) Bottle Drop Centers (Fred Meyer Beaverton and the Beaverton Redemption center are the closest to our school). If you choose to drop off at one of the Redemption Center locations, you scan the QR code sticker to open the door and toss it inside.
OR you can bring your blue bag(s) to our collection events.
NEED MORE BAGS?
- Contact Jillian Wang at: clothesforkids@wtvptc.org or text her at (503) 577-2305.

District Reminder Regarding Overdue/Lost Books
Hello West TV families:
Each year the district sends out 3 reminder emails about overdue/lost books. This is just a reminder about books needing to be returned, NOT a statement that they need to be paid for at this time. We encourage students and families to take some time to look for those overdue/books and work together to get them returned in a timely manner. Attached is a link to the district's online payment system so if it does come to that point, this is the easiest and most efficient way to pay for any lost or damaged books.
Here are two links for the Online Payment System:
- Instructions - Overall instructions on what to do, straight from the BSD website
- Payment Site - Direct link to start set up/payment
