HOMECOMING WEEK!!
Hello Atholton Family --
This weekend the building has undergone a transformation! Each class has been diligently working to make their hallway the best for judges. Please take some time to visit the decorated areas.
As mentioned last week, our Pep Rally will take place in the gym. This "intimate celebration" should be very exciting. There are some great activities planned. We ask for everyone to come to the gym to assist with supervision. We will send out a map with stations later this week. Additionally, Deputy Superintendent, Karalee Turner-Little will be visiting Atholton during our Pep Rally. Please click here to learn more about her.
The schedule for Pep Rally Friday will be regular through 5th period. Beginning at 1pm students will be dismissed BY GRADE to the gym. Students are to leave their belongings in 5th period. They will return to 5th period to get their belongings after the Pep Rally. Please wait for the announcements. We will NOT have 6th period on Friday. Please plan accordingly. The schedule will be:
7:25am – 8:15am Period 1
8:20am – 9:10am Period 2

Lastly, just a reminder that Wednesday is PSAT Day. Lisa Veslany has uploaded the testing information on Canvas. If you have any questions about Wednesday or if your plans have changed regarding your attendance on this day, please see Lisa ASAP. Below is the message sent to families regarding the day:
As mentioned last week, this coming Wednesday is PSAT Day. The entire school will be engaged in PSAT testing except for seniors. We encourage parents of seniors to use this day for a college visit as the morning is reserved for testing. If seniors chose this option, it is an excused absence from school.
Thank you to those staff members who have forwarded the names of chronic violators of the earbud and food expectations. We will be speaking with these individuals and their families. Please continue to help enforce these and other expectations.
This is going to be an exciting week! I hope you are able to enjoy it as much as our students. We will have our own competition for staff during Spirit Week:
- Each day next week email a picture of your department in their spirit gear to Natalie Kelly. We will have our SLC student members VOTE on a winner each day. The department with the most votes at the end of the week will earn a BAGELS and COFFEE breakfast!
- Pictures must be submitted by 2:30 each day for judging :)
If you haven't done so yet, please volunteer for the many events we have going on this week. It is always nice to interact with students outside of the classroom. Please see Thomas Stuppy if you are interested in volunteering.
See you all tomorrow!
Robert
