The Huffman Commitment
We will work with every student, staff member, and family to develop and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning community. We are committed to continuously improving our professional practices and take responsibility for the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. We believe all people can grow in a positive direction.
Principal's Note
School Health & Safety Plans are now published and available for your review. Huffman's site plan is linked below and you may review all site plans by visiting ASD's website. Our plan is detailed, comprehensive, and quite long. Please take some time to review and feel free to reach out with questions.
For K-2 and ER families, staff will be reviewing key elements of our plan with you during your school visit and tour next week. Our staff and substitutes have been trained and we will continue to adapt and hone our plan as we learn more information. ASD will continue to monitor any municipal or state announcements and adapt as necessary.
K-2 and ER teachers have reached out to families to discuss your intentions regarding returning to school. This is critical information as we prepare to welcome students back into the building. We fully respect each and every family's decision. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Please be sure to watch the video below that our specialists made to assist students with their return to school. They share a number of helpful tips.
We are counting on our community to help keep ASD Symptom Free. All parents and guardians must screen their student everyday before school. Please review the parent resources below.
As always, please reach out with celebrations, questions, and concerns.
All the best, Chris
