ALS Awareness Presentation - Please see the link for the information and resources shared with our students and staff this week for ALS Awareness month. A special thanks to Mrs. Irrera for sharing her story and to the Rosicas for allowing us to show our appreciation for Mr. Rosica and his contributions to the Holicong, Buckingham, and CBSD community!
Rosica U-Knighted Beanbag Toss Tournament - A special thank you to Ms. Bauer and the students who participated in this week's Beanbag Toss Tournament during I & E. You helped raised hundreds of dollars that we will donate to the U-Knighted foundation. Please look for pictures from the event as well as our grade level winners. And congrats to Mr. Barno and Mr. Nelsen who came back from a 12-1 deficit over our 9th grade team to take home the trophy!
Mental Health Awareness Month - A special thanks to our counselors for their work to provide information and share the importance of mental health this coming week during Resource. They are also sponsoring a Mental Health Dress week to help bring awareness of mental health to our community!
Spring Band Concert - Our spring concert season continued last Thursday evening with awesome performances by our 7th grade & 8th grade bands, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band. The evening closed with an amazing and "I can't believe these are middle school students" performance of the Temptations What Becomes of the Brokenhearted that our 7th & 8th grade students got to see on Friday live during I & E. For the rest of you, please take a moment to watch this and can guarantee you will not be disappointed - What Becomes of the Brokenhearted!
Student Council Elections - Calling all 8th grades! Please make sure to check Mrs. Wentz Canvas page if you are interested in "Getting in the Game" and being a leader at Holicong next year!
Talent Show - Mr. Glaser will be meeting with students who have signed up for the end of the year talent show. We encourage students to take a chance and "get in the game" and if you have any questions students can reach out to him directly.
Team Time - Thank you to our team leaders & teachers for planning a variety of wellness and academic enrichment activities on Friday. It was great to see so many of our kiddos out an about playing games like capture the flag, wiffleball, coloring, and too many others to mention here. A reminder that getting away from screens and collaborating with peers and teachers is a great way to build healthy relationships!
Faces of Holicong - Community Service with Abby & Sophia - Please see our newest Faces of Holicong as Mrs. Pierangeli interviews Abby and Sophia about two community service projects and fundraisers they are doing running! They are supporting those in need well outside of our Holicong boundary - like Puerto Rico and the Ukraine! Please watch the video to learn more about their work and how you can contribute!
Say Something - For our music lovers! Here is H-Factor led by Emery & Damon on a beautiful rendition of this song! Shout out to the group and Mr. Glaser!
SAFE2SAY & SAP (Student Assistant Program) - Students received an overview of these resources in…resource class. We have posted the links directly to both of these resources on the Holicong homepage on the right side under School Links - Holicong MS / Homepage (cbsd.org).

Autism Acceptance at Holicong
Thank you to everyone who contributed to make Autism Acceptance month at Holicong a success as it allowed our entire community to learn more about ASD and for us to create opportunities for all of us to engage and collaborate together! A final few shout outs and work from this month!
- Autism Acceptance Infinity Mural - You will see in the pictures above the culmination of the work we did in our schoolwide I & E where students learned about ASD and shared their own meaning. Mr. Clint and a few helpers turned these into two murals in the cafeteria and a reminder that "what gets touched gets done" and seeing this visible art will be a reminder to us about the importance of accepting and including everyone at Holicong!
- Dodgeball Tournament - The final numbers are in and thank you to those that organized and participated - you helped raise over $400 that will benefit the work of our ASD program & Colonial Cafe!
- 2023 Faces of Holicong – Autism Acceptance I & E - Thank you to the new FRIENDS group and Mrs. Frymoyer's staff & students for helping with our Intervention and Enrichment activity. We have included a link to the work we did that day - both information about ASD and a way for ALL Holicong students & staff to participate. Please look for next week's update to see the progress of the Autism Infiniti Mural!
- FRIENDS Group - The FRIENDS group continues to grow and you can reach out to Ms. Zimmerman, Mrs. Fymoyer, and Ms. Camburn if you are interested in joining!
- Ms. Romig - Thank you to Ms. Roming for offering her Q & A sessions with students!
- Colonial Cafe - The special cookies this week were awesome and tasted great! Thanks to our students in the Colonial Cafe and especially Ms. Dana (we know it was you behind the scenes!) for these special treats and bringing more awareness to this work!
- Together Sports - Mr. Kelly had his first meeting with the group and look for more information about this group and activities in the last two months at Holicong!
