STEM Academy and SVT Accepting Enrollment Requests
Dear 8th grade families,
The STEM Academy at SVT is now accepting enrollment requests for the 2021-22 school year!
The application window is December 1, 2020 - February 26, 2021

The STEM Academy at SVT is a Central Valley School District high school that utilizes project based learning to develop the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, innovation, and problem solving. Students will engage in relevant and rigorous learning activities that are highly collaborative and student centered. Throughout their high school experience, students will explore a variety of career and college readiness courses to equip them with a foundation to successfully pursue careers in STEM related fields.
The STEM Academy at Spokane Valley Tech is ideal for students who are self-motivated and enjoy working collaboratively with others to solve real-world problems.

Free Food Distribution for the Holidays
2nd Harvest Free Food Distribution Mobile Market at Sun City Church:
- Tuesdays in December: 22nd and 29th, 11am-Noon
- Free drive thru distribution for up to 200 families (or while supplies last)
- Prepacked emergency food boxes including an assortment of nonperishable and fresh items.
- Free produce, meats and other food will be provided to anyone in need of food assistance.

College Bound Information
IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY FOR 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS! The College Bound Scholarship is available to help with post-secondary expenses of tuition and fees at over 60 institutions in Washington State – universities, colleges, trade or fine art schools. Please see the guidelines below and click the link to apply even if you are unsure if you will qualify. It only takes a few minutes. They will notify you by mail.
