This poem is about how everything one has ever seen or heard stays with them in a secret city deep inside. Sometimes, unexpectedly, some of this sound from the city will come out and one must be careful when it does.
About the Author
Alberto Ríos was born in Nevada in 1952. He is a Regents English Professor at Arizona State University. He holds six Pushcart Prizes in both poetry and fiction.
