Happening this week....
All library books must be returned by Friday, May 11th to the STEAM Library located in Collab A. If no one is on duty please place books in the book return box. All books will be inventoried and overdue/fine notices will be sent via email. Fines for lost books may be paid to the office.

All classes are testing Monday, May 7th over dynamic earth. Review materials will be available via Google Classroom. After our test we will be launching our final unit of the year, SPACE!

If you are coming to tutoring, please come with a subject or plan as to what you need help with or have questions on.

We will continue with our STAAR Academy to help review all of the concepts that we have learned this year. We will go over problems together as a class and then students will be responsible for completing a progress check each day for a daily grade.

Accelerated Math ~ Mrs. Morgan
This is our last week to review for the STAAR test coming up on May 14th! Students will begin our second phase of Bootcamp and they will be earning prizes and rewards for their hard work!
Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, Mrs. Strother and Ms. Peden
Reading stations will continue with a focus on academic vocabulary and paired passages to prepare for STAAR. Students are also studying elements of fiction through read alouds. World Cultures will conclude their study of Asia this week.
Global Business and Professional Communication ~ Ms. Tedford and Ms. Owen
This week we will be researching options for college and careers, including how to pay for college and how income and training may influence career paths. We will finish the week by reviewing all the topics we have learned about personal finance.

Art ~ Mrs. Beam
This week, students will begin working on our last unit! This will be a choice based unit with a focus in showing their individual artistic growth throughout the year. Students will be bringing any remaining artwork home on that last day of school.
Beginning Band ~ Mr. Sypert
The iTZ performance was a huge success! Straight first divisions from all judges, that is as good as it gets.
It is going to be another busy week for band!
May 7th (Monday)- STEAM Band Practice for Spring Concert @SMS 4-5:30pm
May 8th (Tuesday)- STEAM Band Spring Concert @Centennial HS Auditorium Student Report time is 5:45pm, Concert Begins @ 6:30pm. Students wear Band shirt and Khaki Pants (or Skirt) no shorts.
May 10th (Thursday)- Kerr Band Auditions for next school year. Auditions done in class.
May 12th (Saturday)- BISD MS Solo Contest @ Kerr MS. Student times TBA.
