HERNE BAY ROLLER HOCKEY CLUB

DEVELOPMENT

WHO ARE WE ?

Our club is one of the oldest Roller Hockey clubs in the World and one of the most successful in the UK. We were founded in 1910 and have over 30 National Senior Titles and many Junior National and Regional awards.

Throughout our history we have consistently produced players for the National Squads

WHERE ARE WE NOW ?

2016

We currently train and play at The Bay Arena in Herne Bay.

In the last few years we have been developing our junior section and are now the largest club in the UK. Currently u11 and u13 National Champion.

Roller Hockey is very popular with young people and our membership grows week by week.

Roller Hockey is a minority sport limited by the facilities available. There is just one purpose bulit rink in the South East, where major events can be held. Training and junior matches are located in local Sports Halls with little or no spectator facilities.

The Herne Bay Club has now reached a saturation point and will not be able to continue to offer opportunity for the young people in our community to play the sport without extra facilities.

WHAT DO WE NEED ?

We are looking for venues in the local area where we can play and continue to develop our Club and our Sport.

A smooth durable surface, indoors, with walls or barriers on all sides are our basic requirement. We would consider any available time slots to see if they fit in with our other commitments. We would envisage that in would be a regular long term commitment on our behalf.
