First Week of School News from MCES

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!

On behalf of the pastors, administration, teachers and staff, we are very excited to begin the new school year. The teachers and staff have been diligently working to prepare our classrooms and school buildings for the students, and are very excited to see everyone back in the rooms! This year will be one full of growing in faith, community and academics. Though it is difficult to see summer end, there are many exciting things coming!

Please take time to "Like" us on Facebook to see all the smiling faces of our students, as we post pictures almost daily. Also, bookmark the calendar page of our website so you can have the latest list of events and activities at MCES!

Morning Assembly at St. John & St. Michael Campuses

New for the 2018-2019 School Year, students at St. Michael and St. John will gather each morning from 7:45-7:55 in their respective gyms for a brief morning assembly. Morning assemblies are a great way to set a very positive tone for the day; they allow the students to interact with grade levels other than their own; and help us build community. Each morning students will gather under in the gym under their teacher's name and participate in Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, Mission Statement and Birthday Celebration. This time will also be used for community activities, such as service projects and recognition of achievements. We are very excited to implement this, and several of our teachers have taken a leadership role. We are grateful to Mrs. Provencher and Mrs. Setzler at St. Michael and Mrs. Applin and Mrs. McNamee at St. John for their willingness to lead in this way!
