The Creekview Dismissal Guide
Partnering with Parents to Promise GREAT Learning for All
Welcome to Creekview!
School Safety is our most important priority and dismissal is a time of day when all 800+ students and staff are in motion along with buses, bikes and personal vehicles on campus. In order to guarantee a safe return home for all students in the most efficient way possible, we need your help.
Please review the dismissal options below and familiarize yourself with our procedures. We welcome your feedback and questions. Collaboration makes our processes better.
Below are a few tips that can increase efficiency and effectiveness of our routines and procedures:
- Please be patient the first two weeks of school; staff are learning student names and students will be learning routines and procedures
- Communicate about dismissal in advance and clearly to your child's teacher
- As much as possible, maintain consistency in dismissal mode
- Changes in transportation home must be made by 3pm in writing to your child's teacher or the front office
- Walker/Biker and Parent Pick Up: Post your rainy day dismissal plan where you can access it to remember (refrigerator, cell phone, etc)
How Will Your Child Go Home? Dismissal Options at Creekview
Parent Pick Up Kdg-5th
- Mandatory K-2 who walk or bike home; 3-5 may choose this option
- Parent, older sibling (3rd-5th designated Walker/Biker) or babysitter meets student at back patio and escorts home
- Parents and babysitters must have name placard
- Placard may be picked up in the front office
First Days of School-Dismissal
Please have your child be dismissed the way in which they will normally go home, on the the first day/s of school in order to establish routine and help our staff begin learning your child's normal routine. The less change in afternoon transportation, the more efficient our dismissal process.
First two weeks, dismissal will run slower than usual as teachers/bus drivers are learning your child's name, establishing routines and students are learning procedures.
Thank you for your patience.
