BHMS Principal's Update 6/14/21
Last Week of School, 9th Grade Sports, Summer Info
It's hard to believe the closing of this school year is upon us. My biggest regret is that our awesome 8th graders are leaving us and it seems so soon. I wish we had the opportunity to spend more time together this year. Though I'm saddened that our dances, some activities, trips, and some competitions were cancelled, I am incredibly optimistic about the summer and the fall and the opportuninty to build Bunker Hill back to include all the wonderful things that makes the school an awesome place. We are already looking forward to the Fall of 2021.
In this newsletter, please pay attention to the end of year activities, especially information about yearbooks and 8th grade recognition. We wish you a safe and healthy summer.
Sincerely,
Mike D'Ostilio

Diversity Club and BHMS Seek to Recognize June as Pride Month on June 15
The diversity club would like to invite you to commemorate and celebrate Pride Month on Tuesday by wearing the colors of the LGBTQIA+ Pride flag. This activity is optional
LGBTQ Pride Month is commemorated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York City. In June of 1969, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn staged an uprising to resist the police harassment and persecution to which LGBTQ Americans were commonly subjected. This uprising marked the beginning of a movement to outlaw discriminatory laws and practices against LGBTQ Americans.

This pandemic has created so many questions and concerns for students that are well beyond academics. We are committed to providing a safe environment where students can express themselves as they question the ebb and flow of their world around them. Please see below our affirmations about Buidling Better Bulldogs and the people we as Bulldogs aim to be.
