An MSD Staff Communication that Cuts out the Clutter!

Main Thing 1: Story of a Student
Greetings, Medford School District Staff!
As you know, we hold our students at the center of everything we do, so we are excited to kick off a community effort to DEFINE our collective hopes and dreams for our students.
You’ve seen our Coherency Map and our Leadership Definition, now we want to build a guiding document for students.
We’ve asked families to have a conversation with their students about who they want to be at the end (and during) their K-12 journey. And we want to hear from you. What qualities, characteristics, and skills do you want your students to possess?
Think about it and then fill out this quick survey to let us know.
A team will read all the data and begin forming our Story of a Student in the Medford School District. We are excited to work with the community to memorialize our collective hopes, aspirations, and dreams for our students!
More to come!

Main Thing 2: Celebrating MSD Leaders
As you know, we’ve defined what it means to be a leader in the Medford School District. Take a look at our MSD Leadership Definition here! We are highlighting staff who exemplify an aspect of our leadership definition. This week, we are celebrating leader April Pacheco, Social Emotional Advocate at Howard Elementary School. April was nominated for acting with courageous leadership:
“April has radical calmness in the face of adversity. She sees each person before their behavior. Supports students, staff and families and leads with Grace.”
We also celebrated Jackie Auchard, teacher at Ruch. She was nominated for welcoming the hard work of her role, and approaching tasks with grit and a growth mindset.
