Washington Early Learning Center
The Washington Eagles
Week of October 27-October 31, 2014
From the Eagle's Nest!
Happy Last Week of October!
Several notes will be coming home this week from our PTO. We will be sending home order forms for Washington Early Learning Center SPIRIT WEAR! A portion of all sales will go directly to our PTO. What a great way to show school spirit!
We are also planning a fundraiser through Schwan's. If you, and your friends and family, place online orders with Schwan's between November 3rd and December 18th, they will donate 20% of sales back to Washington. You just need to enter the Fundraising ID 15852. A flyer with more information will come home this week.
These are two great ways to assist our school in raising needed funds for field trips, programs, and other beneficial items for our children!
Thanks,
Mrs. Nelson

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Title One Parents (Mrs. Miller's class):
Please feel free to enter through the parking lot doors at 11:10 or 2:25 for pick-up time. We just ask that once you come in the doors, that you proceed to the office hallway where the Title One class dismisses from.
The doors on Franklin Ave. cannot be opened from the office, nor do they have a camera on them, therefore you won't be able to enter in that door unless a staff member opens it from the inside. This door will not be opened until 11:15 or 2:30.
Early Childhood Parents:
You may enter the parking lot doors at 11:10 or 2:25. Once in the doors, please be sure to stay to the sides of the hallway to allow staff to take children by the hands to proceed out the doors to the busses. The entry way can get very busy, but with everyone's help we can be sure that dismissal runs smoothly.
The Giving Tree
At conference time a “Giving Tree” will be displayed outside your child’s classroom. This is an opportunity to give a little something back to your child’s teacher/classroom.
How it works is that teachers will write items they can use in their classroom on individual cut outs, which will be on a tree outside their classroom. You pick as many cut outs as you wish off the tree and give the purchased item(s) to your teacher before Thanksgiving break. If you’re not able to make it during conferences, don’t worry as the trees will be up until Thanksgiving. So at any point when you’re in the building beginning at conferences to Thanksgiving you may take a cut out from the “Giving Tree”.
This is not mandatory so please do not feel obligated to take something from the tree if you’re not able to.
Thanks,
Washington Staff and PTO
