Sacramento PRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
Vision
“When serious followers of Jesus in any particular city become more consciously aware of one another, and intentional about connecting and learning from one another what they are learning from Jesus… you will have the makings of a spiritual awakening.”
-Dallas Willard
Praying family! That is what we are. Sisters and brothers in Christ united, concerned, and thrilled to see God alive and well and working throughout the Sacramento region. SacramentoPRAYS is about connecting the praying family of God within congregations, as well as pray-ers from multiple congregations coming together in communities.
SacramentoPRAYS is about equipping and encouraging the prayer life of the believer and the pastor and the church. SacramentoPRAYS is also about SacramentoPRAISE – the opportunities we have to be the glorious people of God together in the region seeking his presence and calling upon his power to be at work in and through us for his Kingdom and glory to saturate Sacramento.
With this newsletter, we enter a new year and a new effort at elevating and celebrating prayer ministry in the six county Sacramento region. We honor and bless Judy Trent Whitnack who wrote so beautifully in last week’s newsletter of her journey. Join me in praying for profound blessing upon her as she has begun a 90 day refreshment sabbatical.
As you begin to receive this newsletter every other week in the coming months, you will see the growing vision of five workgroups (see below) and you will meet the ten leaders of these work groups. Every work group needs to be a group – are you attracted to one?
Volunteer to jump in and make the group’s work more glorious with your efforts.
We are in the midst of the dawn of a spiritual awakening.
As God’s servant Dallas Willard has said, to let that awakening be fulfilled, we need to make conscious effort to know each other, learn from each other what Jesus is teaching us and walk the work of the kingdom on every patch of ground that make up this capital region.
Glad to be part of this!

5 Work Groups Expanded Focus
This strategic change enables our organization to grow because of the specific leadership that each area will receive. For instance, Community Prayer is a movement focused on forming prayer groups in the 40+ communities of the Greater Sacramento area and will be led by Gary DeGennaro and a fantastic work group team.
This task demands more attention and it is getting it! Pray with us for each of these work groups to expand united prayer in 2016.
