North Branch Area Public Schools
The 2021-22 school year is underway!
Thanks to all of you for what has been an incredible Welcome Week at North Branch Area Public Schools!
I enjoyed hearing appreciation from our 9th grade students for the opportunity to orient themselves with the high school before their first day of school, and we are on track to exceed 90 percent of our families attending PreK-8 Welcome Conferences! What a great reflection of our first priority as educational partners; establishing relationships!
Starting a new school year can be a very anxious time for students who are starting a new grade level and, in some cases, coming to a new school for the first time. Welcome Week allowed families the opportunity to get to know the teachers and staff that will be an important part of their lives for the next nine months, as well as orient themselves with the buildings and processes they can expect.
For me it was a wonderful chance to get to meet more of our families face to face and see our students getting set up for success this school year!
With the school year starting officially for most students tomorrow, there is currently a federal mandate for masks to be worn on buses. We respectfully ask for your support. Masks will be available at the front of each bus for any student that needs one.
I know many of our families will be taking “first day of school” photos tomorrow; what an exciting day for students! We have created “first day of school” signs for every grade from preschool through 12th grade if you would like to use them for your photos. They can be located here. Please be encouraged to post photos to our comment section at Facebook! We love to see our students' excitement on the first day of school!
