High School Highlights
Weekly Updates from Big Walnut High School
September 4, 2020
WELCOME BACK!!!!!
It was a great, full, first week of school for all of our Golden Eagles! Students have adjusted really well to the logistical changes and our classrooms are alive again with discussion, debate and learning! It's hard to believe, but September is here already and that means a three-day weekend to celebrate Labor Day. We hope you enjoy some rest and relaxation and we will look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday!
Each week our high school sends out a newsletter to update parents with important information. Included will be announcements, events, opportunities for students and more. Please check it out each week.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teachers, school counselor or the administration if you have any questions or concerns. Feel free to contact the main office at 740-965-3766 between the hours of 7:00 and 3:15.

A Few Reminders from our Front Office
Please remember, if your student is going to be absent, running late, or needs to leave early please call the attendance line ahead of time and leave a message at 740-965-7776.
Additionally, to minimize traffic in the main office, please do not come in to get your student unless otherwise instructed. We are asking that parents/guardians call or provide a note ahead of time giving the student permission to sign themselves out and meet you outside in the loop. No student may leave early unless a parent/guardian has given permission. Even if your student is 18, they must have prior approval from a parent or guardian.
Finally, if parents need to drop off any items, please leave them on the table just inside the first secure door of our main entrance. There are post-it notes and pens available for you to label items. Please text your student to let them know their items are there. Students will be able to pick up their items in between classes. We will not be calling students out of class for dropped off items unless it is an urgent matter.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
