Leadership Message
Where Stories Take Us…
We were blessed this morning to experience the rich storytelling of Mr. David Bouchard, Canadian award winning author and educator. Mr. Bouchard captivated our staff and students with song, story, music, language, and culture. He connected us to God, to history and to his Métis culture. It was an amazing start to World Read Aloud Day as David truly encompassed the message from his website that, “Reading is for everyone, everyone can read. It takes one book to become a reader. That’s all. It just takes one book.” Mr Bouchard reminded us that we are sculpted by our Creator, and every person has a gift we must discover. What a beautiful connection to our theme that we are all God’s masterpieces.
This afternoon we gathered as a school community to share in a fantastic story about a knight who loves to read, The StoryBook Knight, by Helen & Thomas Docherty. After that, students in mixed groups, enjoyed a tale with one of our Saint John XXIII staff members. We had an amazing World Read Aloud Day together celebrating the many places stories can take us; from our parents’ laps, to far away places, through history and cultures, adventures, and fairy tales...one story at a time.
Blessings,
Mrs. Boehm

How to use Google tools to support your EICS student
Did you know your child, as an EICS student, has access to G Suite for Education? These tools allow students to access, share, and create knowledge that supports their learning. On Feb. 28 from 7:00-8: 30 pm, come to learn what Google for Education tools your child has access to and explore how to use those tools to support them at home. This session is for all learners, whether you are a beginner or have experience with technology.
There are limited spaces so please register here or go to http://bit.ly/EICSGoogleTools
Please come with your child's EICS login information (if you don't know how to access this please ask your child or your child's teacher). If you don't have this, we will have alternative logins so all participants can participate.
