Thanksgiving break is next week! Take the time over the break to reflect and reignite the practice of gratitude for one another in the company of friends and family. On behalf of Ida Jew Academy, I would like to thank our students, parents/families, teachers & staff and community for continuing to support our school. Enjoy the week off next week and we look forward to seeing everyone rejuvenated and back to school on Dec.2. Go Pumas!

School Site Council: Election Ballot

We are currently holding elections for our vacant School Site Council (SSC) parent position. Ballots were sent home for parents to vote on and then return as part of the election process. We will collect all ballots and to provide to SSC as part of the election process. Please ask your student for the ballot sent home today; and return the ballot to the school on Dec. 4, 2019 at the IJA main office.

Note:School Site Council is an school advisory group made up of 4 parents, 1 student, 3 Teachers, 2 Administrators which participates in the development of the school site plan.If you are interested in having your name placed on the ballot you may also write in so that we can place your name on the ballot as part of the election process.Our SSC meets at IJA typically 6 to 7 times throughout the school year. For more information, please contact the IJA main office.

Providing for our Community

IJA will be participating with Second Harvest Food Bank in support of the effort to provide food for our community. Our Students and staff have been collecting non-perishable items as well as canned food in support of this school wide effort through December 18.

Goodwill Donation Fundraiser 12/14

Make sure to bring your goodwill donations Saturday December 14th from 9:00am-3:00pm. Proceeds will go towards our Tech Challenge teams in support of our collaboration as a Tech Museum Alumni School (see the flyer attached). Thank you Board Member Mrs. Brenda Serrano- Perez for your support with our Tech Challenge Teams

  • Student drop-off begins no earlier than 7:30am in the cafeteria.
  • Class starts at 8:15am every day (Students need to be in class at this time)
