Science
I know I teach social studies but our scholastic news topic was about rainbows so I couldn't resist doing an experiment that involved shaving cream, food coloring and eyedroppers!
Using eyedroppers to add colored water to our cloud.
Getting the rainbow colors just right.
Watching to see what happens and recording it.
Buddies
We made a friend poem with our buddies after discussing what friends do for each other.
Poems
Our finished product. Our buddies helped decorate with rainbows to continue our rainbow topic.
Math
Adding 2 digit numbers together. Instead of drawing quick tens and one, we made number bonds pulling out the tens and then adding our tens and ones. Definitely not the way I was taught!
Math tubs
Matching up numbers on dominoes or making a snake...
Writing
After reading the book Fortunately, students wrote their own story of fortunately, unfortunately events.
Social studies
Children got out their chromes and did a virtual tour of the white house in Google maps.
Top Dog
Levi was our Top Dog. His favorite animals are cats and dogs. He is pawsome at Forte Night and other games. He wants to be a Youtuber when he grows up.
