Wow, January as gone by fast! This week has brought colder weather! Please make sure your students are dressed for the weather. Coats, mittens, hats are so important. We go outside everyday unless the temperature drops below 20 degrees or its snowing, raining, etc.

The Great Kindness Challenge
We have had a great Kindness Week. It has been fun to see the school spirit as students participated in the spirit days. Many students have completed the Kindness Challenge and will receive their Kindness Certificate next week. Thank you for your support!
Below are picture of our third grade participating in a kindness service activity! Thank you third grade!!!!
Valentine's Day
Students are invited to bring their valentines to school on Feb 12th. Teachers will use safety protocols and have each student use hand sanitizer before passing out their valentines to their classmates. The valentines will not be opened at school but will be taken home to be opened there. Each teacher does have a special activity planned for their class.
Teachers have already purchased valentine bags for each student. Please do not send a valentine box to school.
PTA is selling SPIRIT WEAR
COVID-19 has made it hard for our PTA to sell shirts this year. We invite you to purchase a shirt or a hoodie from their Spirit Wear Online Store. You can also choose which color of shirt/jacket/logo you would like. (See the pictures below for samples) Remember to choose free shipping. We will pass out the shirts at school when they come.
Thank you!
Digital Citizenship Parent Tips
We are teaching Digital Citizenship to all of our students. We are using the NetSmartz program. (It is one of the state's approved resources for Digital Citizenship.) They are a series of short lessons. They are about 20 minutes long. The lessons started in January and will be taught over the next few months.
NetSmartz has also provided six parent information fliers. The parent resources will be included in our weekly Goshen Falcons SOAR Newsletter under Digital Citizenship Parent Tips. We invite you to read each of them and use them to talk with your students about using the internet responsibly.
We would love to know how you used the parent resources for Digital Citizenship. We are asking you to answer a short survey after you have completed one of monthly activities with your family. After you have completed the survey 3 different times we will send home an "unplugged" game for your family!
Thank you for taking the short survey at Digital Citizenship
