PTA Trunk or Treat. What Fun!!
LMC Book Fair
PTA Dinner for Staff. Yummy!
This Week at Young
- Thank you to the PTA and the talented Parent Trunk Decorators for another wonderful Trunk or Treat event. Thank you as well to the many families that donated candy for trunk or treating. Students and their families had a wonderful time.
- The first round of Parent Teacher Conferences went very well. We look forward to seeing the rest of our parents for conferences on Monday, November 5.
- The LMC Book Fair is open. We'd like to thank our families for their support of the Book Fair. The Book Fair has a wide selection of reading materials available for readers of all ages. The Book Fair is open through November 8. We'd also like to thank the parents who helped to set-up and work at the Book Fair.
- Thank you to the PTA and the many parent volunteers who provided sandwiches, salads, fruit, and desserts for the staff dinner during Thursday night’s Parent Teacher Conferences.
Young School is Looking for Your Feedback
Our goal is to have at least 20% of the Young parent population participate.
This survey can be completed on a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
However, please feel free to stop by the school to use a laptop if you need access to a computer or the internet.
Laptops are also available in the lmc for parents who are volunteering in that location of the building.
1. Visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/login/
2. Type and then select DuPage as District 204's County location. This is the county associated with the district, not the location of an individual school.
3. Type your school's name into the School field and then select your school.

Secret Snowflakes Program (11/1-12/6)
Young is hosting a “Secret Snowflake” program for Young families that may need assistance during the holiday season. We are asking members of the Nancy Young community to sponsor a “Secret Snowflake” that will include purchasing a $10 gift card to Target.
If you would like to participate, complete the permission slip at the following link
http://ipsdweb.ipsd.org/newsfiles/news_101165_1.pdf
Choose a “Secret Snowflake” and drop off the permission slip in the office.
Students can pick up a “Secret Snowflake” from 8:50 am -9:05 a.m. and 3:15 pm-3:45 p.m. In addition, the office will be open during conferences to pick up a snowflake.
We are asking that the $10 Target gift cards be returned with the “Secret Snowflake” attached, to Young Elementary School, by Thursday, December 6th. Each “Secret Snowflake” has a value of $10. Please feel free to pick up more than one “Secret Snowflake” if your family chooses!
Thank you in advance for helping the Nancy Young Elementary School students and families!
