TGMS Weekly Updates

October 19, 2020

Message from Dr. Jackson

A quick reminder that Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 15 and October 22, from 4:15 - 7:45 pm and all day, November 3, from 11:00 - 7:00 pm, for grades K-8. All conferences will be held virtually. There will be no school on November 3 for students grades K-8 due to the conferences.

We are still finding that students are not logging in consistently for their attendance on virtual days. Please be sure that your student meets this critical expectation and completes their assignments.

PTO Fit a thon wrap up

Thank you to all who participated in and supported our PTO Fit-a-thon! The Fit-a-thon has been extended through the week of October 19. We are looking forward to sharing our final numbers with you soon!!

School Picture retakes

Students will have an opportunity for picture retakes on Nov. 2 for Cohort A students and October 30 for Cohort B students. Please remind students to return their unwanted picture packets the day of retakes.

We anticipate that student pictures to be sent home this week.

Veteran's Day recognition

Veterans Day is rapidly approaching. Toll Gate Middle School would like to take the opportunity to recognize and honor those who have served or are currently serving our country in the armed services. We are asking that you fill out the form below and have your son/daughter return it to school by Thursday, October 29. If you have a friend or a family member who is currently serving or who has served our country, please write his/her name, the war they fought in (if applicable), the military branch served under, and the name of your Toll Gate student. A star will be made to honor all names returned to us by October 29. The stars will then be placed on the windows of the Media Center November 11. Thanks for your support of this project.

If you or someone you know is interested, you can go to the Human Resources page on the district website or contact Scott Philabaum at

A message from the PLSD Food Service Department
