A message from Ms. Alexander, Principal

Hello! I hope you and your families were able to make some memories and spend time together this summer. Everyone here at Broad Street is gearing up for the 2021-2022 school year. While construction will continue through the first half of the year resulting in parts of the building not being accessible , I assure you classrooms and teachers are ready for the return of students!

While last year was unique and like no other, there were many valuable lessons learned that we plan to implement to strengthen the education program we provide to our students. One of the greatest benefits we saw last year were the relationships established among students and teachers in small classes. As a result, the first week of school will be staggered so half of the class will attend school on Monday (8/30) and Wednesday (9/1) and the other half will come Tuesday (8/31) and Thursday (9/2). This will allow students to acclimate to the school, teacher, classroom, peers and routines in a small class size for their first two days.

As you may know, the School Board voted to approve the 2021-22 Health and Safety Plan. This means we intend to start the year with the same provisions that were shared in July. For more details, here is the link to that Smore:

I'm looking forward to a fantastic school year and welcoming students back on August 30th and 31st!
