REMINDER: All RLASD schools will close at 4:00 p.m. on Tue, November 22 for the Thanksgiving holiday and fall break. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, November 29. For more details regarding the school calendar, visit our website:

Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship Program

Distinguished Young Women of York County is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women. Cash scholarships are awarded at the local level, and local winners will advance to the state program in Pittsburgh.

Any Junior girls who would like to learn more are invited to attend the information session on Wednesday, November 30th during Academic Prep in the Counseling Office. Interested students should stop in the Counseling Office to sign up for the session or visit this link.

Senator for a Day Seminar

On October 27, Mr. Bull and his AP Government class visited the State Capitol to participate in a mock legislature at the invitations of Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill.

Scholastic Art Exhibit

National Art Honor Society member Isaac Earnest earned second place at the Scholastic Art Exhibit with his digital image titled "The Guardian." Three of Isaac's digital images moved to finals!

He competed with students from 20 Pennsylvania counties and two Maryland counties. If you see him, please congratulate him on his impressive win!

CONGRATULATIONS to all seniors who participated in mock job interviews this week. Your preparation and professionalism did not go unnoticed and boy oh boy, did you represent Red Lion Area SHS with pride! While I watched each of you arrive at the Library, with cover letter and resume in hand, with shoulders back, a smile on your face, I knew you were destined for greatness. Your hard work and preparation truly paid off.

The YCAL Spring 2023 programs have been announced – visit or stop by the Career Center and help yourself to the informational flyers on the bookshelves. Mark this date in your calendar: December 14th – the YCAL Spring application becomes available. There are over 20 programs available in spring – Mrs. Scott is going to be busy!!!
