Lincoln School Students Presented at the Board of Education Meeting

Abraham Lincoln School students presented information about a student-led Walk for Water Experience to raise awareness about the clean water crisis in Africa and also raise funds for building a water well. Over 500 students, staff, parents, and community members attended the Walk for Water Experience. Students also created a number of other events and fundraisers to raise money to build a water well in Africa. To date, they have raised over $10,000. Superintendent Paul Gordon and the Board members asked the students questions about the work they are doing to help in Africa and about what they have learned along the way. Dr. Gordon praised the students and presented them with inspirational words about their leadership at the school. Dr. Gordon also thanked Principal Schwiekhofer for her leadership and giving students space to grow and learn.
