Important Points
- For recess today, all of the students will only be allowed to play on the blacktop. There were a lot of issues yesterday with hitting and throwing snow.
- It is very important that attendance is taken in the afternoon. If you have any questions, Cyndy is more than willing to answer them.
- Each day you have perfect attendance, you will find a letter in your mailbox. Display those in your room where students can see!
- Print jobs are currently held for 6 hours.
- Morning supervisors, please leave student jackets on the coat hooks after breakfast. If a student forgets, the first place they look is the coat hooks.
- There will be a sign-up sheet on the counter in the main office for those of you interested in playing or being a ref at the 4th Grade vs. Staff Basketball Game.
Character Book of the Month: Thank You, Mr. Falker
Book of the Week: My Journey to the Stars
Scott Kelly wasn’t sure what he wanted to be when he grew up. He struggled in school and often got in trouble with his twin brother, Mark.
Then one day Scott discovered a book about test pilots and astronauts that set him on a new path.
His new focus led him to fly higher and higher, becoming first a pilot and then an astronaut, along with his brother—the first twin astronauts in history. But his greatest accomplishment of all was commanding the International Space Station and spending nearly a year in space.
