National Kindness ๐ Week, January 22nd-26th
Klatt will be taking the opportunity, all week, to encourage and promote kindness amongst staff and students. As part of Klatts Mission Statement, kindness is a value that we admire and encourage our students to explore. Opening their hearts to friends and wrapping then up in arms of tolerance, acceptance, empathy, and compassion. The greatest gift we can provide our children alongside an outstanding education is the belief we are empowered by kindness and that kindness is what lifts us up when we are at our lowest.
To begin this process we are creating a chain of kind words and thoughts. Strips of recycled paper looped together to literally hug the hub that lies at the center of the school.
If you would like to take part, please feel free to come by the front office and we will provide a strip of paper to you.
๐ Your involvement will solidify amongst our children that KINDNESS is a habit. ๐
Peace becomes possible in a culture of kindness.
Mindset ๐ง ๐ Mission Presentation, January 30th
9:15 am- 10:00 am
NEDโs Mindset Mission is an interactive, 45-minute all-school performance. NED stands for: Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best!! We use storytelling, puppetry, illusions and yoyo tricks to take your students on an entertaining journey with our character NED. He follows clues, meets memorable characters and learns valuable lessons along the way.
Students Will Learn:
- The Power of Yet โ If youโre not good at something, it just means youโre not good at it yet
- How to spark courage in others
- How to keep learning and growing, even when they think they already know something
