Typical English Food - Fish and Chips
Fish (cod, haddock, huss, plaice) deep fried in flour batter with chips (fried potatoes) dressed in malt vinegar. This is England’s traditional take-away food or as US would say “ to go”. Fish and chips are not normally home cooked but bought at a fish and chip shop (“chippie”) to eat on premises or as a “take away”
Typical French Food - Quiche Lorraine
This traditional French quiche makes an easy family meal, a delicious lunch served cold or a tasty addition to a party buffet
Currently, this dish is very famous around the world. It consists a salty cake with a basis of broken pasta and stuffed of a mixture of cream and eggs.
It is a original recipe of Lorraine region, in fact, it didn't include more ingredients, but now we can find this with another ingredient: cheese. We can also find bacon, ham or vegetables in this recipe in our days.
Typical Japanese Food- Sushi
This dish is based of rice with vinegar and it can go with some fresh ingredients like fish or shellfish. We can find some kind of this:
Nigirizushi - Sushi with ingredients of the rice.
Makizushi - It means a roll of sushi. It is the kind in which the rice and shellfish are on a seaweed (nori) and these roll around a piece of bamboo.
Temaki - It the same of Nigirizushi, but the seaweed (nori) puts like a cone with the ingredients in the middle.
Chirashi - fresh shellfish, with vegetables or other ingredients that these put into a dish.
Typical Indian Food - Kati roll
It is a typical dish originating from Kolkata, India. Traditionally, a kati roll is a kati kebab wrapped in a layered paratha bread It is a original form, it based a skewer-roasted kebab wrapped in a paratha bread. But currently, there are many variants have envolved all of which now go under the generic name of Kati roll.
This food consists chicken or mutton (lamb) with chunks marinated in spices and cooked on skewers. When we have the roll, we can add onions, chillies and sauces.
